I know I don’t update this blog anymore, but I figured this was important to post. the Barack Obama campaign has made it really easy to register to vote, just fill this out and follow the next button. It can really get no simpler than that!

That’s that! We’re closing up shop and moving on to other things. BUT THE BLOG IS NOT BEING DELETED. It’ll stay up for you to come back and look at for nostalgic-purposes or what-have-you.

I would like to thank you all for the wonderful support you gave to the blog. We really enjoyed supplying content and running it.

I would also like to thank Rick Perry, because if it wasn’t for him this blog would not have ever happened. I’m pretty sure I’ll never have to thank him for anything every again. Or until the next time I benefit off of his asshattery.

It’s been fun but I’m really trying to finally get my degree, since due to scheduling conflicts it’s been stretched out well over a year longer than it should’ve taken me. As a resident of Texas, I’ve dealt with Rick for twelve years at this point and he’s as loony and twisted as he’s always been.

I’m hopeful that this blog at least somewhat contributed to the downfall of his presidential campaign and who knows, maybe in four years if and when he tries to come back, we’ll be back too. There’s really no telling with that man.

Again, thanks y’all, it’s been fun.

With the U.S. presidential campaign already off to a roaring start, news from the Republican primary contests has been a major topic across Tumblr. As we near another crescendo in Florida, we were curious how the campaign—from the numerous debates and rallies, to election ads and gaffes—has played out so far in terms of the type and quantity of attention received by each candidate on Tumblr.

The first graph shows how frequently each candidate’s name appeared in posts. The second shows other tags most frequently associated with each candidate. We’re most impressed with the viral power of one creative concept blog: When Rick Perry’s Unpopular Opinions sprang up as a parody of one of Perry’s campaign videos, he easily became the most blogged candidate overnight.

we know when we’ve lost our relevancy. Our buddy Rick Perry has dropped out of the presidential race and we think it is time to bow out too.

We’re just way too busy with other things to keep making things for and maintaining the blog. We will not be deleting the blog so people can always come back and look at it.

We’re sorry for all the people that gave us suggestions for gifs but we’ve just not been able to get to them.

But don’t go pressing that unfollow button just yet, we’ll be doing a surprise week-long event to say goodbye. We think you’ll really like it, because we really liked the idea too.

Due to college, I’m on a get-to-it-when-I-can schedule for my blogs. Which means that this blog is still active but as you can already see, it will have sporadic updates throughout the week instead of regularly like it started out as.

From Eric: Yeah, I have to review about a year’s worth of Japanese and probably go over some Russian in under two weeks so I am also rather busy. Once the semester starts back up and I get used to the routine, I’ll be able to post more
